Corinthians confirm changes to face Peñarol in Libertadores, draw secures Group E top spot | OneFootball

Corinthians have named a changed side to face Peñarol in Copa Libertadores Group E, with top spot secured by a draw. Kick-off is 21:30 at Estadio Campeón del Siglo in Montevideo.

According to Meu Timao, last-16 qualification is already assured, so Fernando Diniz has rotated with the Brasileiro schedule in mind before the World Cup pause.

João Pedro Tchoca, Hugo Farias, Kayke and Vitinho also remain unavailable. Alex Santana was not registered for this stage, while Charles returns and Labyad is fit to start.

Corinthians lead Group E on 10 points, with Platense on 7 and Independiente Santa Fe on 5, while Peñarol have 2. The hosts must win to stay in contention for the last 16. In the final round Peñarol play Santa Fe at home, and Corinthians host Platense at Neo Química Arena next Wednesday at 21:30.
