Corinthians host Red Bull Bragantino at 20:00 on Wednesday in round three of the 2026 Brasileirão, with Dorival Júnior missing at least three players and facing further doubts.
According to Meu Timao, forward Kaio César will miss out after scans confirmed a right hamstring injury. He limped out of the 3-0 win over Capivariano during his second appearance.
Left-back Hugo Farias was also hurt in that game and underwent surgery last Wednesday for a right lateral meniscus injury.
Midfielder José Martínez tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and is set to be out for at least nine months after his return was delayed by over a month due to passport issues in Venezuela.
There are doubts over André Carrillo and Breno Bidon. Carrillo was withdrawn hours before Sunday’s derby with left adductor pain and trained partially, while Bidon felt right hamstring discomfort against Palmeiras and played on, no diagnosis yet.
Last week Corinthians loaned goalkeeper Matheus Donelli to Shabab Al Ahli. Centre-back Cacá is in talks and could reinforce Athletico-PR.
New signings Fabrizio Angileri and Allan are on the BID, though their fitness to face Bragantino is undecided. No one is one booking from suspension, and this will be only Corinthians’ second game after sitting out the previous round.
Despite being round three, the match carries weight. Corinthians are bottom and a win could take them up to 10th, depending on goal difference and Thursday’s results.
