Corinthians draw with Cruzeiro sets 2025 audience record

The audience recorded in the first leg of the Brazilian Women's Championship final, this Sunday, 7, when Corinthians drew with Cruzeiro 2 x 2 at the Arena Independência in Belo Horizonte, was very positive for TV Globo, both in the state of São Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro, raising the ratings usually achieved by the broadcaster during the match time slot.

According to Kantar Ibope Media, the match recorded, between 10:30 and 12:35 (Brasília time), an average of 11 points and 27% share (participation over TVs on) in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, which represents the best performance of the year in matches of the modality. Each point in Greater São Paulo equals 77,488 households and 199,313 people, and in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro it represents 48,836 residences and 120,893 viewers.

The match was also a milestone for the home team, as Cruzeiro recorded an audience of 19,165 fans present at the Arena Independência, a record in women's football matches in the state of Minas Gerais. There is a great expectation of a large audience also in the return match, which takes place next day 14, at Neo Química Arena.

Ticket sales for the match in Itaquera, by the way, started this Tuesday, 9, by Corinthians. At the present moment, all sectors have tickets available, with prices between R$ 20 and R$ 43 in the Minha Vida do Fiel Torcedor Plan and R$ 30 and R$ 60 face value for non-members.
