Corinthians extend run of long-range goals in the Paulistão Feminino

Corinthians beat Red Bull Bragantino in a comeback in the Women's Paulistão, with a stunning goal from Gisela Robledo at the end of the game. With the goal, which came after a shot from outside the box, the Brabas maintained an average of one goal from outside the box per game, according to a survey by Meu Timão.

In eight rounds of the state championship, the women's team of Corinthians scored eight long-range goals. This represents 36% of the black and white team's goals in the championship, which total 22 nets shaken in total. The team coached by Lucas Piccinato tends to use this characteristic against teams that have tighter marking.

Only two games in this campaign did not have goals from outside the Corinthians area, against Palmeiras and Santos. That is, Red Bull Bragantino on two occasions, Realidade Jovem, Ferroviária, São Paulo and Taubaté suffered with goals from outside the Brabas area.

The goals were scored by Yaya, Vic Albuquerque, Andressa Alves, Gabi Zanotti, Duda Sampaio, Day Rodríguez, Ju Passari and Gisela Robledo. Due to the dispute of the Brasileirão simultaneously with the Paulistão, some games were played with an alternative team, favoring the distribution of goals.

Corinthians' next commitment takes place this Sunday, September 7, in the first leg of the Women's Brasileirão grand final. The Brabas face Cruzeiro in Belo Horizonte, at Arena Independência, starting at 10:30 (Brasília time).
