Corinthians’ Fiscal Council has recommended approving the 2025 accounts with reservations after meeting at Parque São Jorge on 22-23 April. According to Globo.com, the statements now go to the Deliberative Council for a vote on Monday.

The balance shows a R$ 143.441 million deficit for last year. The council cited missing monthly disclosures and urged immediate, deep restructuring of management.

Other critical issues included missing documented procedures that undermine financial controls, and the use of cash to settle expenses.

The report also questioned recognising the tax settlement with the Procuradoria-Geral da Fazenda Nacional in 2025, as the agreement was signed only in 2026, a point echoed by the independent audit.

A renegotiation cut debt with the Union from R$ 1.2 billion to R$ 679 million, a 46.6% discount, reducing total gross debt by R$ 217.428 million. The club’s gross debt stood at R$ 2.723 billion in December, down from R$ 2.8 billion in November.

Despite inconsistencies, members unanimously backed approval with caveats, saying 2025 was atypical amid political instability, including a presidential impeachment in May and elections in August. The document added the club’s situation had built up over previous years.

Haroldo José Dantas da Silva, removed as council president, attended but left before the vote after stating he would abstain, later signing the minutes. The 2025 figures cover five months under impeached former president Augusto Melo and seven under Osmar Stabile, interim from 26 May then confirmed from 27 August.
