Corinthians fitness coach departs after three years amid women’s team reshuffle | OneFootball

Luiz Guilherme Gonçalves has left Corinthians after three years at the club, announcing his departure on Wednesday morning as the women’s backroom staff are overhauled.

The fitness coach said in a social media post that the spell brought learning, challenges and achievements, and that he leaves grateful with friendships he will carry for life.

His exit forms part of changes decided after the 2-2 draw with Fluminense on 20 February. Head coach Lucas Piccinato, assistant Brenno Basso and goalkeeping coach Francisco Rodrigues have also departed.

Luiz Guilherme joined Corinthians Feminino in July 2023 on Arthur Elias’s staff. He stayed through Piccinato’s tenure and moved on before Emily Lima’s arrival.

Physical preparation is now led by Yuri Fraga, who worked with the youth sides and was promoted to the senior team in 2025, and by Liliane Cruz, hired alongside Lima.

Corinthians Feminino face América Mineiro at Neo Química Arena on Monday. They are seeking a response in the Brasileiro after a 3-2 comeback defeat to Palmeiras and sit ninth in the table.
