Deives has been unveiled by River Plate of Não-Me-Toque in Rio Grande do Sul, less than two months after his final outing for Corinthians. According to Meu Timao, the veteran pivot and club idol joins the amateur side after ending his professional career in January.

The Gaúcho team competes in the Liga Rio-Grandense de Futsal, having won the Série Prata in 2025 to secure a place in this year's Série Outo. He will line up alongside fellow Brazilian star Jackson Samurai, who also had a stint at Corinthians in 2013.

Deives called time on his professional career during Corinthians' tour of Japan in January. The team lost 3-0 to Nagoya Oceans, then drew 2-2 with the F-League All Stars, where he scored in his farewell.

He attended Corinthians' Super Copa Gramado opener last Thursday at the Ginásio Perinão in Gramado, where the champions' trophy carries his name as a tribute. After the 1-1 draw with Carlos Barbosa, he said watching as a fan felt strange and voiced his support for the team.

Across two spells from 2015-2016 and 2018-2025, he made 246 official appearances for Corinthians, scoring 156 goals with 24 assists. He won 16 trophies, including the Liga Paulista, Supercopa do Brasil, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista, Supercopa Paulista, Liga Nacional de Futsal, Taça São Paulo and Torneo Mucho Más.

At 40, he still topped the club’s scoring charts in 2025 with 25 goals and finished second for assists with 24, featuring in 42 of 53 matches.
