Corinthians futsal legend honoured by supporters' group in Japan

Since last Sunday (4), the Corinthians futsal team has been in Japan to play two friendly matches in preparation for the 2026 season, which will feature the following competitions: Supercopa Gramado, Campeonato Paulista, and the National Futsal League. On January 10 and 12, the Alvinegro will face Nagoya Oceans and the F-League Selection.

During one of Corinthians' training sessions on Japanese soil, the idol and number 10 of the Alvinegro, Deives, received a tribute from members of the organized supporters group Gaviões Japão (subsidiary), a group of Corinthians fans in Asia. After the activity led by coach Fernando Malafaia, the fans were able to meet the player.

It is worth remembering that, after the friendly tournament, the 40-year-old pivot will definitively retire from the courts. The competition organizers are already selling tickets, with prices ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 yen (R$ 105 to R$ 140). The Gaviões Japão subsidiary will also be attending the tournament to support the Timão athletes.

Since 2015 at Corinthians, Deives has scored over 300 goals wearing the Corinthians shirt, playing a key role in the following titles: Liga Paulista (2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019), Supercopa (2019 and 2020), Copa do Brasil (2018 and 2019), Campeonato Paulista (2019), Supercopa Paulista (2019), National Futsal League (2016 and 2022), Taça São Paulo (2025), and Torneo Internacional Mucho Más (2025).
