Corinthians Futsal to play celebratory friendly v Rio Grande do Sul

Corinthians Futsal has accepted and will play a friendly match against Clube Atlético Guarany, from Espumoso, Rio Grande do Sul, in a commemorative game to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the traditional team from Rio Grande do Sul. The match will take place on March 15th at 6:00 PM (Brasília time), at the Modulo Esportivo Gymnasium. The Alvinegro's opponent has three Taça Farroupilha titles, as well as the Copa dos Pampas (2019) and the Campeonato Gaúcho (2024).

Close to the date of the match, Corinthians will compete in the Supercopa Gramado, which will take place from March 5th to 13th at the Perinão Gymnasium, and will feature the following clubs in addition to Timão: Atlântico Erechim, Campo Mourão, Carlos Barbosa, Cascavel Futsal, Magnus, Minas Tênis Clube, Praia Clube, and Vasco da Gama.

For the 2026 season, aiming to reduce costs in the terrestrial sports department, Corinthians signed only two athletes: pivot Fabinho and winger Kevin William, who were at Praia Clube and Ferroviária Pinda, respectively. On the other hand, the following players left Parque São Jorge: defender Marlon, wingers Edimar, Igor Carioca, Luisinho, and Luizinho Brizzo, as well as pivots Deives (retirement) and Israel Neto.

In addition to the Supercopa Gramado, Corinthians will also compete in the National League and the Paulista Championship in the 2026 season. Last year, Alvinegro was runner-up in both competitions, being defeated by Jaraguá and Magnus, respectively. Despite this, they won the São Paulo Cup and the Mucho Más International Tournament in Spain.
