Corinthians’ Gui Negão named among top under-20 prospects outside five major leagues | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians forward Gui Negão has been named by the CIES Football Observatory among the leading under-20 centre forwards outside the five major leagues.

The 19-year-old, born in 2007, is fifth, behind Jacob Ambaek, Julian Hall, Viktor Dadason and Michael Noonan.

CIES values him at 9 million euros. Only Ambaek, Hall, Dadason and Luca Meirelles of Shakhtar Donetsk top 14 million euros.

A standout at under-17 and under-20 level, he joined the first team in July 2025 under Dorival Júnior. He has 36 senior appearances, with six goals and two assists.

Since Fernando Diniz arrived he has not played for the seniors, instead featuring in both Under-20 Paulista quarter-finals against Palmeiras, where Corinthians went out after two defeats.

He was called up by Brazil in March but suffered a thigh strain during training. In June Corinthians rejected a loan-with-obligation bid from Erzurumspor FK of Türkiye, and in 2024 turned down 14 million euros from Montpellier. He could be an option for Diniz on Thursday against Remo at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
