Corinthians have the lowest net equity among Brazil’s leading clubs, placing 24th in a table based on 2025 accounts, according to ge.globo.
Despite substantial assets, including Parque São Jorge and Neo Química Arena, plus cash, investments and receivables, Corinthians’ net equity stands at negative R$774.1 million. Liabilities exceed R$2.6 billion, with interest rising annually.
They sit below all 19 Serie A clubs and also trail Juventude, Sport, Fortaleza and Ceará from Serie B, with only Juventude in the black.
Among the strugglers, Vasco, Santos, São Paulo and Botafogo rank 23rd to 20th respectively, just ahead of Corinthians.
At the other end, Athletico Paranaense lead as the only side above R$1 billion, on R$1.07 billion. They are followed by Flamengo on R$954 million, Bahia, recently bought by Grupo City, on R$656.2 million, Palmeiras on R$568.9 million and Cruzeiro, which underwent a financial restructuring a few years ago, on R$405 million.
