Hugo Souza was honoured by Corinthians at Neo Química Arena on Wednesday night for reaching 100 appearances, moments before their Campeonato Brasileiro round five meeting with Coritiba.
According to Meu Timao, the goalkeeper was greeted on to the pitch in Itaquera by president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz, receiving a commemorative plaque and a personalised shirt bearing 100.
Souza had hit the mark on 16 February in a 1-0 win over São Bernardo, the final round of the Campeonato Paulista first phase. With the next four fixtures away, the club chose to stage the tribute on their return home.
He debuted for Corinthians on 16 July 2024 against Criciúma in that season's Brasileiro and swiftly established himself as first choice.
He now stands on 105 games with 51 wins, 28 draws and 26 defeats, and was influential in the 2025 Paulista and Copa do Brasil triumphs, plus the Supercopa do Brasil early in 2026.
Souza is also third outright among Corinthians goalkeepers for penalty saves, with 14 since his debut.
The celebration did not translate into a result as Corinthians were beaten 2-0 at home by Coritiba.
They visit Santos next, on Sunday 15 at 16:00, at Vila Belmiro in the Brasileiro.
