Corinthians host UAE consul-general Abdalla Shaheen at Neo Química Arena | OneFootball

Corinthians hosted the United Arab Emirates’ consul-general in Brazil, Abdalla Shaheen, for an institutional visit to Neo Química Arena on Monday, with club president Osmar Stabile in attendance. According to Meu Timao, members of the Arab delegation also joined the meeting.

Talks focused on potential cooperation between Corinthians and the UAE. The group toured the stadium facilities and museum displays, guided by cultural director Rafael Castilho and director of institutional relations Antônio Goulart.

Afterwards, Stabile said the meeting showcased the club’s structure and day-to-day commitment. He added that he hopes to extend a future visit to include the social club and the youth and first-team training centres.

While the UAE has limited direct involvement in Brazilian football, Libra, the Liga do Futebol Brasileiro, has a partnership with Mubadala Capital, which is based in Abu Dhabi.

Corinthians left Libra in 2024 to join Futebol Forte União, a bloc of clubs that rejected Libra’s proposal.
