Corinthians in talks to renew contracts for five women's youth players

With some players from the Under-20 women's category nearing the end of their contracts, Corinthians has already started planning for the 2026 season. According to the portal Meu Timão, the Alvinegro is negotiating contract extensions with five players in this situation.

They are: goalkeeper Sophia Trindade (18 years old), defenders Bruna Meer (18 years old) and Emelym (17 years old), as well as forwards Júlia Romero (16 years old) and Rafa Rodrigues (19 years old). On the other hand, players born in 2005 – who are in their last year of youth categories – are not expected to remain at the club, such as goalkeeper Yasmin, defender Amanda Dias, and forward Ester.

In 2026, the age limit for youth categories will be for those born in 2006. Additionally, midfielder Gaby Tomé (19 years old), frequently called up for the Brazilian National Team, has an uncertain future at Parque São Jorge, as she has been receiving inquiries from other clubs.

The exception is goalkeeper Rillary, born in 2005, who is already integrated into the professional squad of the Brabas and is the fourth option for the position, behind Nicole, Kemelli, and Lelê. Her contract is valid until 2027, and she already has two official matches with the Corinthians jersey: last year, she debuted as a professional athlete in the home victory, 5-0, against São José, and last month, she played in the win against Taubaté, away. Both matches were in the Paulista Championship of the category.

The Corinthians Under-20 Women's team will return to the field on November 5th, at 3 PM (Brasília time), to face Ferroviária at the Municipal Stadium Adail Nunes da Silva, in Taquaritinga, São Paulo, for the semifinals of the Paulista Championship of the category. The Women's Copinha, it is worth remembering, starts in December.
