Corinthians land million-pound prize for winning the women’s Brasileirão

On the morning of this Sunday, the 14th, Corinthians continued its dominance in women's football by winning the seventh title of the Brazilian Championship. In front of a large crowd at the Neo Química Arena, the Brabas defeated Cruzeiro 1-0 and added another trophy to their collection.

With this victory, the team received a prize of R$ 1.8 million. Adding up the amounts from all stages of the competition, the club collected a total of R$ 2.4 million, distributed as follows: R$ 360 thousand for qualifying for the first phase, R$ 120 thousand for reaching the quarter-finals, R$ 120 thousand for advancing to the semi-finals, and finally, the million-dollar amount for the title.

These numbers do not include ticket sales revenue. In the decisive match against Cruzeiro alone, Corinthians broke records by registering the highest revenue in the history of women's football in Brazil, with a gross amount exceeding R$ 1.2 million.

The Women's Brazilian Championship is, so far, the competition that has filled Corinthians' coffers the most in 2025. Previously, the team had earned R$ 500 thousand for being the runner-up in the Supercup of Brazil. Other tournaments, such as the Copa do Brasil and the Paulista, are still ongoing, while the Libertadores will be contested later.

Off the field, the club also secured good revenue with the transfer of Colombian defender Dani Arias, sold to San Diego Wave, USA, for about R$ 850 thousand.

This was the seventh national title for the Brabas, who had already lifted the trophy in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, further consolidating Corinthians as the greatest power in Brazilian women's football.
