Corinthians loan out academy trio for Copa São Paulo campaign in early 2026

With the youth categories overflowing, Corinthians began releasing and loaning out young players in order to keep the main standouts. This week, the club loaned three athletes to teams focused on the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, aiming for a financial or sporting return after the competition. The information was initially reported by Meu Timão and confirmed by Central do Timão.

The players negotiated were goalkeeper Luis Paulo (Assissense), defender Lucão (Juventus), and forward João Sacca (Assissense), who will play in the Copinha for these clubs on loan contracts. The management is focusing on the defender’s performance, as he was registered in the last Copinha but was unable to secure a permanent spot.

With the end of the under-20 season for Corinthians, the players were released to sign with new clubs in time to play in the Copinha. In the case of these three, they are already listed as players for the aforementioned clubs. The youth tournament ends on January 25, and they are expected to return to Parque São Jorge after that date.

As the biggest champion of the tournament, Timãozinho awaits the announcement of the venues in a draw held by the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF). Coach William Batista is waiting for the end of the holidays to begin preparations with an eye on the competition.
