Corinthians made two first-half injury-enforced changes in their 3-0 win over Capivariano in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista at Neo Química Arena on Thursday. According to Globo.com, the club have not specified the nature of the problems.
At 10 minutes, forward Kaio César, one of four signings at the start of the season, felt his right hamstring and required treatment.
He left the pitch on foot, visibly upset, and was replaced by Dieguinho at 14. He began ice treatment on the bench.
At 36 minutes, left-back Hugo felt pain in his right knee following a challenge and called for medical attention. He was withdrawn and regular starter Matheus Bidou came on.
After the match, head coach Dorival Júnior said there was still no certainty and that he preferred to wait until Friday for a firmer assessment. He felt Hugo’s issue might be a little more serious than Kaio’s, though not as bad as first feared, and hoped it would prove far less severe.
Both players will undergo tests and be evaluated from Friday.
