Corinthians make loan bid for Portuguesa striker Renê | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Corinthians have opened talks with Portuguesa and tabled a loan offer for 22-year-old forward Renê.

They expect to conclude an agreement in the coming hours, with the Brazilian transfer window closing on Friday, 27.

Talks with Portuguesa gathered pace after an attempt to reach agreement with Botafogo for Arthur Cabral did not advance, with the clubs unable to agree on how the striker’s wages would be paid.

Renê has played 11 matches this season, scoring seven across the Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil.

His standout display came against São Paulo at Morumbis, where he struck twice in Portuguesa’s victory in the state competition.

Before joining Portuguesa, he featured for São José, Rio Grande do Sul.
