Corinthians move for Alisson after accepting São Paulo's financial terms

Corinthians has taken an important step toward signing midfielder Alisson, 32 years old. After further talks between the club boards, the alvinegro club agreed to the terms requested by São Paulo and reached a verbal agreement to bring in the player on loan until the end of the season.

According to information from GE, under the terms agreed between the parties, Timão will be responsible for paying the player's full salary during the contract period. In addition, Corinthians has committed to making an immediate payment of R$ 1 million to the Morumbi club to finalize the release. The agreement also includes an additional payment of R$ 500,000 in the second half of the year.

Another point established in the negotiation involves sporting goals. If Alisson reaches a specific number of appearances during the loan, a number that was not disclosed, Corinthians will have to pay an additional R$ 1.5 million to São Paulo.

Initially, the talks between Corinthians and São Paulo included the possibility of a player swap, but the names presented did not appeal to Tricolor. As a result, the negotiation was restructured into a loan deal with financial compensation. Corinthians, currently paying close attention to its finances, tried to reduce costs, while São Paulo made the release conditional on fixed amounts.

If the transfer is officially completed, Alisson will join a list of reinforcements already confirmed by the club for 2026. Corinthians recently announced center-back Gabriel Paulista, midfielder Matheus Pereira, and right-back Pedro Milans. In addition, striker Kaio César is expected in the coming days for medical exams, and goalkeeper João Ricardo, currently recovering from shoulder surgery, is set to arrive in the next few weeks.
