Corinthians stepped up preparations for the Copa das Campeãs, the first Women's Club World Cup, with part of Wednesday's session open to the media. Players went outside only for a warm-up under the coaching staff.
According to Meu Timao, the club said the absence of six players formed part of specific preparation plans. Day Rodríguez, Letícia Monteiro and Ana Vitória watched from the touchline, while Erika, Tamires and Gabi Zanotti worked indoors.
The Brabas will continue work in Brazil until Friday. The delegation is scheduled to travel to London on Tuesday, the 20th.
Once in England, the team will finalise preparations before facing Gotham FC of the United States in their opener on 28 January. Kick-off is 9.30 Brasília time at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Corinthians' season also includes the Supercopa do Brasil, Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista and Copa Libertadores.
