Kayke enjoyed his first standout night for Corinthians' senior side. He came on after the break and fired into the top corner to complete a 3-0 win over Capivariano from a pass by Memphis Depay.
According to Meu Timao, Kayke described playing with Memphis as an honour and said the squad's experienced players have been giving him guidance and confidence.
He said they had urged him to shoot more from range, advice he followed as he struck from outside the box for his first senior goal.
The forward scored the winner in the 2024 Copinha and has been around the first team since, but only found regular space in 2025 under Dorival Júnior. Under the coach he has played 11 of his 15 senior games.
He also registered his first assist with the senior side on the final round of last year's Brasileiro.
Now in his third season with the professionals, he is a squad option who can operate on the left wing or as a second striker. Nearing 22, he said he is prepared for greater scrutiny from supporters.
He is preparing to face Palmeiras on Sunday at Neo Química Arena in a Paulista fixture.
