Corinthians set to renew contracts with three academy players

Corinthians continues to work on valuing its youth categories following Kauê Furquim's departure to Bahia. Last week, the management arranged the renewal of three players: goalkeeper Nicollas Siqueira, midfielder Victor Dourado, and midfielder Lucas Molina. The information was initially released by Itatiaia and confirmed by Central do Timão.

All are expected to sign contracts until the end of 2028, in a meeting with the directors next week. The trio shares two things in common: a history of injuries last season and current contracts valid until next year, allowing them to sign pre-contracts at the turn of the year.

They are all eligible to play in the under-20 category, but as mentioned, they couldn't maintain a sequence due to injuries. Nicollas and Lucas Molina were in the under-17 last year, while Victor Dourado was a starter in the runner-up campaign in this year's Copinha, with the under-20.

In addition to renewing contracts with standout players, Corinthians is also trying to streamline the categories of signings made under the previous management led by Augusto Melo. This week, executive Erasmo Damiani took on the role of managing the department.
