Corinthians’ standing after matchday 30 in the Campeonato Brasileiro

Corinthians defeated Vitória 1-0 last Saturday afternoon, October 25, at Barradão Stadium, in a match for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship, with a goal by midfielder Charles in the final stretch of the second half. With this result, the Alvinegro finishes the 30th round in tenth place with 39 points (10 wins, nine draws, and 11 losses – 32 goals scored and 35 conceded).

At this moment, the distance between Corinthians and the G6 – the qualifying zone for the Conmebol Libertadores 2026 is 10 points. Bahia occupies the sixth position with 49 points in 30 games, the same number of games as Alvinegro. Between the seventh and ninth positions are Fluminense (44 points), Vasco (42 points), and São Paulo (41 points) – all also with 30 matches.

The three teams won their games this weekend: Internacional (H) – 1 x 0; RB Bragantino (A) – 0 x 3; and São Paulo (H) – 2 x 0. Regarding the relegation zone, the distance increased to eight points, as Vitória is the first in the Z4 with 31 points in 30 games. The last three positions are: Fortaleza (27 points in 29 games), Juventude (26 points in 30 games), and Sport (17 points in 29 games).

Between the 11th and 16th positions are: Grêmio (39 points in 30 games), RB Bragantino (36 points in 30 games), Atlético-MG (36 points in 29 games), Ceará (35 points in 29 games), Internacional (35 points in 30 games), and Santos FC (32 points in 29 games). Among these, the tricolor from Rio Grande do Sul defeated Juventude at home, 3 x 1.

Massa Bruta was easily defeated by Vasco at home, 3 x 0. Atlético-MG, in turn, beat Ceará at Arena MRV by a score of 1 x 0, in a "six-point" match. Internacional, on the other hand, was defeated by Fluminense by the minimum score at Maracanã. Finally, Santos secured a 2 x 2 draw with Botafogo at Nilton Santos Stadium.

Alvinegro remains focused on the national competition and will return to the field only next Sunday, November 2, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Neo Química Arena, in a match for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship.
