Corinthians ‘to be represented’ by Osmar Stabile and Marcelo Paz at Libertadores draw | OneFootball

According to ge.globo, president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz will represent Corinthians at the Copa Libertadores group-stage draw. The ceremony is scheduled for 20:00 Brasília time on Thursday at Conmebol headquarters in Luque, Paraguay.

The draw uses four pots of eight teams, with one club from each pot per group. Corinthians are in Pot 2 alongside Cruzeiro, Libertad, Estudiantes, Cerro Porteño, Lanús, Bolívar and Universitario.

Brazilian clubs cannot be drawn together, so Corinthians will not face Flamengo, Palmeiras, Fluminense or Mirassol in the groups.

Last season, Corinthians went out in the third phase, the qualifying rounds, losing a knockout tie to Barcelona de Guayaquil. They were beaten 3-0 in the first leg in Ecuador, then scored only two in the return at Neo Química Arena.

This year they qualified directly for the groups by winning the 2025 Copa do Brasil. They beat Vasco da Gama 2-1 on aggregate, with all goals coming in the second leg at the Maracanã on 21 December.

Away from the draw, Corinthians visit Chapecoense in the seventh round of the Brasileirão on Thursday at 21:30 at Arena Condá.
