Corinthians ‘to debut’ retro-badged home kit in Copa do Brasil tie | OneFootball

Corinthians will debut their new home kit on Thursday against Barra at 19:30, in the second leg of the Copa de Brasil fifth stage.

The launch had been pencilled in for Sunday against Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro, inspired by the club’s 1976 invasion, but the first outing has been brought forward to Thursday, Rádio Coringão reports.

The standout feature is the return of the retro crest used between 1940 and 1980, created by former player Francisco Rebolo. The predominantly white shirt keeps Nike’s current template, with curved side detailing and a V-neck.

The away strip made its bow on Sunday in the 3-2 win over rivals São Paulo at Neo Química Arena. It drew strong reviews from the Fiel, and the player version sold out within hours.

On the pitch, Corinthians are chasing a place in the last 16. They won the first leg 1-0 and can progress with a draw at Neo Química Arena.
