Corinthians Under-20 v Santos: where to watch and team line-ups

On the afternoon of Friday, September 19, Corinthians begins another phase of the Paulistão U-20. At the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, known as Fazendinha, the Alvinegro Classic for the state championship takes place, starting at 3:00 PM (Brasília time). These are the round of 16 of the competition, which is played over two matches.

Timãozinho qualified after defeating XV de Piracicaba 3-0 in the second leg, which also took place at Fazendinha. On the other side, Peixe beat Portuguesa Santista in another state classic. Looking to advance, Corinthians is betting on William Batista’s undefeated record since he took over as head coach.

Probable lineup

To start with a win in the first leg of the knockout stage, coach William Batista is expected to field a starting eleven with Matheus Corrêa; Caipira, Fernando Vera, Ruan Victor, and Robert; Thomas Lisboa, Luiz Eduardo, and Pires; Luiz Fernando, Luiz Fábio, and Léo Agostinho.

Next fixture

Since the state championship is the only competition Corinthians is playing at this stage of the season, the next challenge is the second leg against Santos. The match kicks off next Friday, the 26th, at 3:00 PM, with Peixe as the home team.
