Corinthians Women returned from the World Cup break with a 1-0 win over Ferroviária at Fazendinha, Jhonson scoring the only goal. The result keeps them in the Paulista Feminino title race, now two points behind the Araraquara leaders.

Rodrigues, well regarded by Fernando Diniz’s staff, is expected to sign a first professional contract in the coming days and will be monitored by the senior group.

Defensive midfielder Gonçalves, 20, has been released to Camboriú of Santa Catarina. He was in his final year at Under-20 level and was not in Diniz’s plans.

The developments capped a busy Friday for Corinthians across the women’s side and the academy pathway.
