Corinthians completed their final training session on Monday before a friendly with the United States U-23s and a World Cup break.

According to Meu Timao, the morning began with gym work at CT Joaquim Grava, followed by a pitch warm-up, passing between lines and possession drills. The squad will pause for two weeks between 10 and 24 June.

The second friendly is on Tuesday at Estádio Marcelo Portugal Gouvêa in Cotia. The first meeting was last Friday at CT Joaquim Grava and the result was not disclosed. Part of the previous session was open to the media.

Head coach Emily Lima is without several players on international duty. Goalkeeper Lelê, defender Thaís Ferreira and midfielder Duda Sampaio are with Brazil’s senior team, while young goalkeeper Ana Morganti is with the Brazil U-20s.

Three overseas players are in the Conmebol Nations League. Midfielder Dayana Rodríguez is seeking to help Venezuela earn a 2027 Women’s World Cup berth in Brazil. Forward Gisela Robledo helped secure Colombia’s place by scoring the winner against Uruguay, but Uruguay’s Belén Aquino has no chance of qualification.

There is one injury absentee. Centre-back Agustina Barroso is in the final stages of recovery from discomfort in her left leg and remains in treatment.

After the break, Corinthians expect around three weeks of preparation before competitions resume. Their next official match is scheduled for 17 July, when they host Ferroviária in the Campeonato Paulista.
