According to Meu Timao, Corinthians’ women wrapped up the first week of their mid-season programme on Saturday morning at the club’s training centre, continuing preparations for the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista and the Libertadores in the second half of the year.
The session opened with a gym activation, then moved to the pitch for drills led by head coach Emily Lima focused on approach, containment and switching play. It marked the squad’s third day back after a holiday granted during the World Cup pause.
There are still absentees. Goalkeeper Lelê will undergo specific treatment after being diagnosed with tendinopathy in the back of her right thigh. Defender Agustina, out since the start of pre-season with injury, has begun physical readaptation work with the Health and Performance unit.
There was better news with two returns. Centre-back Thaís Regina and midfielder Juliana Passari have recovered from injury, having missed the first semester, and have already featured in friendlies against the United States Under-23s earlier this month.
The Brabas’ next official fixture is on 17 July, when they host Ferroviária at 19:00 in Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Paulistão. Until then, Lima has just under three weeks to sharpen preparations before a decisive run of matches later in the year.
