Corinthians’ women rounded off their interseason week on Saturday morning with a session led by Emily Lima, combining physical conditioning and tactical drills at the training centre.
According to Meu Timao, the day began in the gym with strength work, followed by a light-hearted warm-up before the squad moved out to the pitch.
Training finished with an open-field 11 v 11, with specific attention on set pieces, continuing the team’s fine-tuning for upcoming commitments.
The squad remain in preparation for the competitions that run through the second half of the year and will resume training on Monday.
During the break, academy goalkeepers have rotated into sessions to cover the absence of Lelê, who is receiving treatment for tendinopathy in the back of her right thigh. Defender Agustina is still away from group work while she completes physical reconditioning after a lengthy recovery.
Corinthians host Ferroviária at 19:00 on 17 July at Fazendinha in the Campeonato Paulista fourth round. The sides meet again at 15:00 on 23 July at Arena Fonte Luminosa in Araraquara, a Copa do Brasil last-16 tie.
