Corinthians have signed 17-year-old midfielder Júlia Faria to her first professional contract, confirmed on Monday.
The player said in a post that she was very happy to sign her first professional deal, thanked God, her family and everyone involved, called it an honour to represent the club, and spoke of pursuing new goals and dreams.
Faria joined the club in October 2023 with the Under-17s. Early last year she extended her terms with Corinthians until the end of 2027, then in August won the Under-17 Brasileirão Feminino.
She also featured for Brazil at the last Under-17 World Cup, starting all seven matches.
She is not the first academy player tied to the senior set-up in 2026. Goalkeeper Ana Morganti and right-back Rafa Rocha were promoted earlier this year and were named for the Supercopa, which Corinthians lost on penalties to Palmeiras last Saturday.
