Coritiba host RB Bragantino in the Brasileirão on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 at Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira in Curitiba, with both sides seeking a fast start after contrasting recent state-campaign form.
Recent meetings have been tight: RB Bragantino won 1-0 in December 2023, while Coritiba edged a 2-1 home victory in 2022. With Matchday one under way, early rhythm and clean execution could matter more than detailed patterns.
Coxa's January featured away wins at Maringá and Athletico Paranaense, plus a home draw with Londrina and two home defeats. Braga arrive unbeaten in five this month, opening with three straight wins, including 3-0 against Corinthians and 5-0 over Botafogo SP, before back-to-back goalless draws.
Coxa-Branca are without forward Rodrigues through injury. Massa Bruta list forward Isidro Pitta and defenders Guzmán Rodríguez and Vanderlan as injured, trimming options in both boxes.
Braga's recent big wins point to attacking fluency. Massa Bruta could try to impose that tempo early. By contrast, Coxa's two 1-0 away victories suggest defensive organisation and game management, so Coxa may look to keep things compact and counter when chances emerge.
A win would put either side on three points and set the tone for the opening stretch. Coxa then visit Cruzeiro on Thursday, 6 February, while Braga host Atlético Mineiro on Wednesday, 4 February, so early momentum could shape the next steps.
