O Jogo reports that the Central Administrative Court of the South, TCAS, has accepted FC Porto’s injunction to suspend William Gomes’s two-match ban, making the Brazilian winger available to Francesco Farioli for Sunday’s visit to Choupana to face Nacional.
The court has notified the parties. The Disciplinary Council imposed the suspension after his straight red against Casa Pia.
William has already served one game of the punishment, the clássico against Sporting, while Porto awaited a ruling from the Disciplinary Council’s plenary on their appeal.
On Thursday the body judged the appeal partially unfounded, keeping the two-match ban but cutting the fine by 300 euros.
Porto have since lodged a fresh appeal to the Tribunal Arbitral do Desporto, TAD. With the injunction accepted, the ban is suspended until TAD issues its decision.
