FLW's Coventry City fan pundit has been discussing the Sky Blues career of Victor Torp so far.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Coventry City have made a spectacular start to the Championship season, with Frank Lampard grateful to the services of many high-performing stars as a result.
The Sky Blues currently lead the way in the second-tier at the time of the November international break, having extended their gap at the top of the table to five points through a pivotal 1-0 success against fellow fast-starters, Stoke City last weekend.
Across the opening 15 games, a plethora of key figures amongst Lampard's ranks have been given their flowers, particularly those in attacking areas to compliment the fact a staggering total of 40 goals during the aforementioned timeframe.
Unsurprisingly, that comes in the form of Brandon Thomas-Asante, who currently sits joint-top of the Championship's scoring charts with 10 alongside Derby County's summer recruit, Carlton Morris, with Haji Wright also not too far behind.
There will be even more cause for excitement when the final international break of the calendar year concludes, with Lampard recently claiming that influential playmaker, Jack Rudoni, could make his first appearance since being sidelined with a calf issue in September.
However, another midfield lynchpin who has continued to deliver a high level of consistent performances comes in the form of Victor Torp, who has gone on to form a strong partnership with newly-appointed captain, Matt Grimes, who arrived in January from Swansea City.
At this point, a £2.1m agreement struck with Sarpsborg in January 2024 for the Dane continues to look more and more of a bargain, and that is certainly the view held by Football League World's Sky Blues fan pundit, Chris Deez.

Throughout recent seasons, City have developed a reputation for striking several shrewd transfer agreements, particularly since rising back into the Championship in the 2020/21 season under Lampard's predecessor, Mark Robins.
Indeed, the Sky Blues were able to remould the squad which reached the 2022/23 Championship play-off final against Luton Town due to the major profits made on Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer, with Torp arriving at the CBS Arena the following January ahead of a remarkable run to the FA Cup semi-final.
Since his arrival 22 months ago, the former Danish youth international has performed at such a high level alongside the likes of Ben Sheaf - now of Wrexham - Grimes, Jamie Allen and Josh Eccles, constantly allowing play to transition from defence into attack at rapid pace, as well as his eye for a spectacular goal or assists for his in-form attacking teammates.
Overall, Torp has 13 goals and seven assists to his name in Sky Blue in 76 appearances thus far, with six of those strikes coming in the opening third of the current campaign, including a stunning free-kick against Blackburn Rovers.
Unsurprisingly, Deez continued to wax lyrical about the City midfielder for his performances this term and beyond: "I absolutely adore Victor Torp. I don't see how you couldn't," he told FLW.
"I can't imagine there's a Cov fan out there who doesn't love him every bit as much as I do. When we've got Matt Grimes and Torp starting in midfield, we play our best football.
"Torp is an absolute machine, he never stops working," Deez added. "His goals and assists output is fantastic.
"Look at last season, when he didn't play every game due to injury issues here and there, he scored six and assisted four. This season, he's already scored six and assisted one, so he's only three goals and assists behind his previous total, and we're not even halfway through the season.
"He's massively stepped up whilst Rudoni's been out injured for the past three or four weeks," he explained. "I'm massively excited to have Rudoni back, because him, in front of those two, is going to be magical.
"I'm not going to pretend I had any idea who Torp was when we signed him. I'd never heard of him.
"We got him from Sarpsborg for £2.1m, and looking at his stats there, he wasn't exactly setting their league on fire, so it seemed like a risk. £2m doesn't sound a lot of money, but for us, it is.
"It's only in the past couple of seasons we've got back into paying large fees for players. But, I absolutely love Torp," Deez continued.
"He's only 26, he's got so many more years ahead of him. If he can stay injury-free, I hate to say it, but I think he'll eventually play for a bigger and better team than us.
"I think he'd suit the likes of Brentford and Brighton. There's no reason why he can't be a £20m player in the next few seasons if he keeps up this form and stays off the treatment table," he claimed.

Such a £20m claim is high praise indeed for Torp, who is certainly on an upward trajectory, much like Coventry as a club.
Having seen the profits which City have made on Gyokeres and Hamer, as well as commanding a hefty fee for Sheaf who moved to Wrexham in September, such a figure isn't entirely unrealistic.
Whilst the same could certainly be said for stars such as Wright and Rudoni, who have been the subject of intense Premier League interest in recent times.
Torp has showcased exactly what he can bring to the table when injury-free, which he will hope now lasts over the course of the season, with the Sky Blues on track for a first spell in the Premier League for 25 years.
