CRB ‘finalise’ loan for Guilherme Estrella from Vasco da Gama | OneFootball

CRB have finalised the loan signing of 20-year-old midfielder Guilherme Estrella from Vasco da Gama. He is scheduled to arrive in Maceió on Thursday 19 to sign.

Gazeta FM reports that he will not be registered for the Campeonato Alagoano this season because the sign-up window has closed. He joins to compete in Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, the Copa do Nordeste and the Copa do Brasil.

Vasco’s hierarchy planned the move chiefly to give their academy graduate more game time and experience.

Estrella broke through in 2024, scoring against São Paulo in the national league, then suffered a meniscus injury against Botafogo in the following match. He underwent immediate surgery and spent a lengthy spell in rehabilitation.

In 2026 competition for creative roles intensified at São Januário, limiting his minutes. Coach Fernando Diniz has preferred Colombian Johan Rojas to dictate the midfield tempo in the state fixtures.

CRB had been seeking a playmaker to supply their attack in demanding national competitions. Vasco are also trimming their wage bill and have already confirmed the exit of 16 players in the current window.
