Cristian Orozco is set to jet into the UK in the coming days to complete his move to Manchester United.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils will pay a £755k fee to Fortaleza for the 17-year-old wonderkid.
Orozco hasn’t made his senior debut for the Brazilian club, but he is already being regarded as one of the brightest young talents in South America.
He impressed with his displays for Colombia at the Under-17 South American Championship earlier this year.
The teenager also garnered praise for his performances during the Under-17 World Cup, where his country eventually lost 2-0 to France in the knockouts.
Orozco mainly plays as a defensive midfielder, which is a position United are in need of strengthening.
However, it could be years before the 17-year-old is ready to play for the first-team.
Ozorzco has huge potential and if he makes the right progress, he could become an important midfielder for the Manchester titans in the future.
United once missed the opportunity to sign Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle for just £5m.
Caicedo was picked up by Brighton & Hove Albion before his record £115m transfer to Chelsea in 2023.
It has proved to be a big mistake by the Red Devils, as the Ecuadorian is now regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
However, things have improved at United under co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe as they have shifted their focus to bringing in more young players.
