Tottenham captain Cristian Romero praised his side after the 2-2 draw with Manchester City, while publicly questioning the squad’s depth amid a spate of injuries.
The player said in an Instagram post that he made himself available despite feeling unwell and claimed there were only 11 players to pick from, describing the situation as incredible and scandalous.

He also hailed his team-mates’ display. The message, however, appeared to overlook the presence of available substitutes.
Tottenham’s bench included four English academy players, and several experienced options were also present, with three of them used.
The comments were posted the day after the match, with the club weakened by injuries across the group.
