Cristiano Ronaldo has been cleared to resume Al-Nassr training after completing rehabilitation in Madrid and Riyadh. The hamstring issue that sidelined him is easing, and he is expected to feature in Friday’s Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Najma.

Al-Nassr team doctor Carlos Miguel has also passed Sadio Mane fit to rejoin group work. Arriyadiyah reports the medical staff are satisfied, with the league leaders protecting a three-point advantage and match fitness now the priority across the final eight fixtures.

Ronaldo suffered a hamstring strain in the 3-1 win over Al-Fayha, forcing him to miss games against Neom and Al-Khaleej. He travelled to Spain for specialist care before returning to the club’s medical base.

Jorge Jesus can call on both after they completed their programmes. Mane has finished a fitness block of running and strengthening following his recent ankle issue.

Despite being out since late February, Ronaldo has 21 goals in 22 league outings, trailing Al-Ahli’s Ivan Toney on 25 and Al-Qadsiah forward Julian Quinones on 24 in the Golden Boot race.

After the league ends, attention turns to Portugal’s World Cup opener on 17 June in Houston against either DR Congo or Jamaica, in a group also featuring Uzbekistan and Colombia.
