Former Grêmio midfielder Bitello, 25, could agree a return to Brazilian football in the coming weeks, with Cruzeiro exploring a move for the 2026 season.

According to GOAL, he is among the targets requested by newly appointed head coach Tite, who, alongside the club’s hierarchy, has begun assessing potential reinforcements.

Any positive outcome could benefit Grêmio financially, as the club retained a sell-on percentage when he left for Dynamo Moscow. Grêmio received 10 million euros for the transfer and kept 20% of any future profit.

This means a sale above 10 million euros would return 20% of the profit to Grêmio. For example, a 15 million euros transfer would deliver 20% of five million euros.

Earlier this year, Botafogo also pursued Bitello, but Dynamo Moscow rejected the terms and kept the player.

Bitello broke into Grêmio’s senior side in 2022 and remained until the middle of 2023, making 93 appearances and scoring 19 goals. He won the Campeonato Gaúcho in 2022 and 2023, and the Recopa Gaúcha in 2023.
