Crystal Palace are considering Coventry City boss Frank Lampard as a potential replacement for Oliver Glasner.
Glasner has informed the club of his intention to leave Selhurst Park when his contract expires in the summer.
The Austrian has been vocal about his unhappiness with recent sales and recruitment, but clear-the-air talks have led to Glasner remaining at Palace until the end of the current campaign.
A successor is now being sought and Lampard is emerging as an option, repots talkSPORT. The 47-year-old has rebuilt his reputation at Coventry, following challenging spells at Chelsea and Everton.
Last season, he led The Sky Blues from 17th in the table after his appointment in November to the second-tier play-offs.
Coventry have built on that progress and lead the Championship this season, with an eight-point advantage over nearest challengers Ipswich. Coventry are aiming for promotion back into the Premier League for the first time since 2001.
Chairman Steve Parish is understood to be a ‘big admirer ‘ of Lampard, though alternatives under consideration include Rayo Vallecano’s Iñigo Pérez and Getafe’s Pepe Bordalás.
