The right wing-back injured his shoulder at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a heavy challenge from Souza.

The Colombian was tackled hard tight to the right touchline by the Brazilian, and landed awkwardly on the north London turf.

Souza, starting his first game for Spurs since his January arrival from Santos, was booked for the lunge, while Munoz was treated on the pitch by the Palace physios.

He was cleared to play on, but within moments, went down in a heap once more, gesturing to the visiting bench that he could not continue.

He had just tried to swipe at a loose ball that had broken to him on the edge of the area, and he yelped in pain as he spread his arms wide to balance himself before striking.

He was replaced by Nathaniel Clyne as he wrapped his forearm into the hem of his shirt.

Asked about his wing-back after the game, Glasner said: “He’s in a shoulder brace.

“We will do further assessments. Hopefully it’s not too bad.

“He says it doesn't feel so bad, but a shoulder [issue] is always tricky, hopefully not too long."

Munoz has already missed out on a large chunk of the season, sitting out 10 games with a knee injury last year.

He has been a standout player this term when he has been fit, offering an outlet in the attacking third with four goals and two assists.

Palace’s win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium takes them up to 38 points as they sit 13th in the Premier League table.
