Leeds United’s close 2025-26 Premier League rivals Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle for Lens boss Pierre Sage to become their new head coach after Oliver Glasner’s departure.

According to Sky Sports, the 47-year-old Frenchman is set to sign a contract running to the summer of 2029, with an option for a further year.

Austrian coach Glasner led Palace to Europa Conference League glory in his second full season in charge, but confirmed in January that he would leave at the end of the campaign.

Despite that success, Palace finished 15th in the Premier League, two points and one place behind newly-promoted Leeds.

The move comes as the South London club prepare for their 14th consecutive season in the top flight.
