A historic European night beckons at Selhurst Park on Thursday as Crystal Palace play their first-ever group stage home match in a major continental competition.
The visit of the Cypriot side AEK Larnaca tonight marks a significant milestone for Crystal Palace. Furthermore, it provides a chance for the club to build on their opening Group A victory.
Oliver Glasner’s side secured a professional 2-0 win away at Dynamo Kyiv on matchday one. Therefore, they will be keen to make it two wins from two. However, they face a Larnaca side that produced a stunning result themselves, thrashing AZ Alkmaar last time out. Consequently, another disciplined performance will be required from Palace to maintain control of the group.
Oliver Glasner has confirmed he has a strong squad available for this historic home fixture. Encouragingly, he reported no new injuries after the weekend draw. However, long-term absentees Cheick Doucouré, Chadi Riad, and Caleb Kporha remain sidelined.
Additionally, Borna Sosa is suspended following his red card in Kyiv. Tyrick Mitchell is therefore set to start at left wing-back. Given the busy schedule, the manager expects Glasner to rotate his lineup significantly. As a result, Nathaniel Clyne, Will Hughes, and Jefferson Lerma are all options to come into the side. Up front, Eddie Nketiah, who scored from the bench on matchday one, is pushing hard for his first start of the season.
Crystal Palace predicted XI: Henderson; Guehi, Lacroix, Canvot; Mitchell, Hughes, Wharton, Munoz; Nketiah, Kamada; Mateta
The Conference League fixture takes place at Selhurst Park tonight, Thursday, 23 October 2025. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm BST.
Fans in the UK can watch the match live on TNT Sports 3. Streaming is also available via Discovery+. Coverage begins at 7:45 pm BST.
