Dango Ouattara bagged a brace as Brentford twice fought back at home to Crystal Palace.
It looked for a while like Palace would be putting a big dent into the Bees' European hopes with the visitors 2-1 up until the final minutes of the game.
Palace took the lead from the spot early in the game when Caoimhin Kelleher was judged to have fouled Ismaila Sarr. The forward then took the resulting penalty and found the net just too far from the reach of the diving Kelleher.
The scores were level at the break though as five minutes before time Yehor Yarmoliuk whipped in a cross from the right that the Palace defence didn't take command of allowing Ouattara to ghost in and head home.
The visitors took the lead again after some poor defending from the home side with the ball eventually finding Adam Wharton on the edge of the area to put in a powerful low effort that Kelleher couldn't manage to keep out.
When the European positions are decided next week, Ouattara's 88th minute header may prove to have been crucial. Typically, it came from a long throw from the right that Sepp van den Berg headed on for the Brentford man to convert at the back post.
The Bees are currently eight in the table, one point behind Brighton ahead of their final game of the season away to Liverpool.
