Michael Olise’s World Cup form has inspired an unlikely backer in Denmark, where a Copenhagen restaurant is rallying behind the France player on match nights.
According to Le Progres, the French-inspired bistronomic spot, called Olise, has kitted its staff out in France shirts printed with the former Crystal Palace man’s name for Les Bleus’ fixtures.
The Olympic silver medallist excelled all season with Bayern Munich and has opened this World Cup with three assists in two matches, his displays turning heads well beyond France.
On its Instagram account, the restaurant announced it will screen the game against Norway on Friday at 21h, when France will aim to finish top of Group I.
It is an unexpected show of support for Kylian Mbappé’s team-mates from a country not involved at this World Cup.
