Liverpool somehow managed to clinch a victory over Brentford in the Premier League, all thanks to Darwin Nunez’s brace in the dying minutes. Their next game is against LOSC in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Interestingly, the Reds are leading the race for the European champion as well. They have already earned a direct qualification to the next round and hence, Arne Slot might prefer rotating his men to keep them fresh for the league fixtures.

Defence

Alisson Becker didn’t have much to do in the previous game and he will be operating between the sticks once again. Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was on point with his display and retains his spot in the lineup.

Ibrahima Konate is forming the heart of the defence with Virgil van Dijk yet again. The duo has been quite good and will have a big role to play this week. Arne Slot has a tough choice to make between Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas for the left full-back role.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are deployed in the middle of the park. The duo will be responsible for controlling the tempo of the game contributing to both aspects of the game.

Attack

No rest for Mohamed Salah as he operates on the right wing with Cody Gakpo providing his services from the other side of the pitch.

However, Curtis Jones is playing as the attacking midfielder ahead of Dominik Szoboszlai. On the front end, Luis Diaz should make way for Darwin Nunez, who saved the Reds from dropping points against Brentford.

The Reds’ camp has God’s blessing as only Joe Gomez is available for the fixture as the defender is carrying a hamstring injury.
