Details for Manchester City’s two-legged UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Chelsea have been confirmed.
Gareth Taylor’s side will welcome our Barclays Women’s Super League rivals to the Joie Stadium on Wednesday 19 March, with kick-off set for 20:00 (UK).
The reverse fixture will take place on Thursday 27 March at Stamford Bridge, also getting under way from 20:00.
Should we emerge as victors over the two legs, then City will face either FC Barcelona or VfL Wolfsburg in the semi-finals.
This will be the first European encounter between last season’s top two in the WSL but, of course, we have faced off on numerous occasions in domestic competition.
Indeed, just four days prior to that first leg at the Joie Stadium, the two sides will lock horns in the League Cup final, held at Pride Park.
Another WSL clash, this time at the Etihad Stadium, is then sandwiched between our Champions League showdowns with Chelsea.
Tickets will go on sale for our European fixtures from Tuesday, but you can register your interest and be alerted once they’re released by clicking here.
