Everton boss David Moyes has praised Daniel Farke for a tactical switch that has improved Leeds United’s survival push. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, he highlighted the manager’s role and the quality in the squad.
Leeds arrived at Manchester City in November after losing five of their previous six, with questions over Farke at the newly promoted club.
Two goals down at half-time at the Etihad, Farke switched to a five-three-two, a change that prompted an upturn. City still edged it 3-2, Phil Foden settling it in stoppage time.
Since then Leeds have lost only one of the next 10, taking 14 points from a possible 30 to sit eight clear of the dropzone.
When asked how much credit Farke deserved, Moyes said, “Very good, very good because in management you have to find ways of winning and sometimes when you are not doing so well you need to find other ways of getting results. I think he's done that.”
He added, “He's got some good players there at Leeds United, they certainly have and his change of style and system has certainly helped them.”
Leeds visit Everton on Monday night.
