Flamengo drew 1-1 with Internacional at the Maracanã on Wednesday as Giorgian de Arrascaeta's penalty cancelled out Rafael Borre's first half stoppage time opener, giving both sides their first Brasileirão point of 2026.
Johan Carbonero broke away and squared for Rafael Borre to finish in the second minute of first half stoppage time.
Sergio Rochet kept Inter in front with four saves as the visitors defended deep. Agustín Rossi matched him with four stops for Fla.
After the restart, Guillermo Varela replaced Emerson Royal and immediately pushed Fla up the right. Jorge Andrés Carrascal then tested Rochet as the pressure built.
Varela was fouled by Alexandro Ezequiel Bernabei in the box (66.). VAR confirmed the spot kick, and De Arrascaeta tucked it into the bottom right (68.).
Fla finished with 64.9% possession and 18 attempts. Inter registered nine attempts and made 45 clearances.
Next, Fla host Sampaio Corrêa in the Carioca. Inter host São Luiz in the Gaúcho quarter-finals.
