Henry Cartwright changed it in the 63rd minute, slotting left footed into the bottom left to give Falkirk a 1-0 win over Motherwell. It was his first Falkirk goal.
Cartwright, introduced moments earlier, burst onto Ben Broggio's through ball on a fast break and finished with calm precision (63.). The movement from midfield caught Motherwell square and flipped control of the game.
He stayed busy after the restart, threading Kyrell Wilson in for a chance that drew a sharp save from Calum Ward (81.). The Bairns kept threatening in transition with his direct running and early passes.
In 28 minutes he produced two tackles won, three clearances and one key pass, a tidy, two-way cameo that added bite without wasting the ball. The blend of timing and composure made his contribution decisive.
Because the Bairns could spring forward quickly and find him between the lines, his runs repeatedly unsettled Motherwell's defence and ensured the key phases went Falkirk's way.
The Bairns host Hibernian next. Motherwell welcome Hearts.
